Garlic Mustard Strategy

As flowering is coming to an end, we move into phase 2 of our annual control efforts. The focus in phase 2 is on hand pulling. Our strategy is to focus on newer, smaller infestations that are on the edge with the goal of slowing down the spread. In addition, we focus on infestations along the roads because equipment spreads garlic mustard seed. We know we can't kill every plant, but by using this approach we hope to keep new sites from getting infested and reduce the size of the infestation.
