Smith and Bybee Lakes
At nearly 2,000 acres, Metro’s Smith and Bybee Wetlands Natural Area is the largest protected wetlands within an American city.

Forest Park
The 5,000-acre Forest Park is the largest forested city park in the country – larger than Central Park in NYC!

Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge
Hawks, quail, pintails, mallards, coots, woodpeckers, kestrels, and widgeons are just the start of the list of birds that one might encounter in Oaks Bottom.
