Now you can instantly know more about the soil under your feet. Just download the SoilWeb ap to your smart phone, turn on the gps, open the ap, and tap on 'get my location'. The name of the soil will appear...
No smart phone, no problem. The USDA also has an online version of the soil survey. You can select an area, make soil maps, and access reports that cover everything from drainage to the percent clay in the soil. Check it out here.
